| Description | All families could use some support and connection! Playgroups are loosely structured and include ‘free play’ where children get to explore our wide range of toys, ‘circle time’ that includes songs and stories, an age-appropriate activity which can be painting, baby massage or any number of exciting ideas and snack-time -all guided by trained play ‘specialists’. Playgroups begin to introduce the concepts of classroom structure with predictable transitions from one activity to the next all with the security of having their caregiver right there with them. The adults get to learn new activities they can do at home, see what toys their child may be interested in, learn some parenting tips from staff and each other and observe their child with other children. Most importantly, they provide a unique opportunity for children and adults to play, learn, and socialize TOGETHER. Cost: We ask folks to help defray some of our costs by contributing a Suggested Playgroup Donation fee of $1- $5 per Playgroup or what you can afford. No one is ever turned away for lack of money |
