Throughout the entire month of May, live music, original theater performances and unique educational activities will focus on the musical expression, the history, and the fun of jazz. In addition to our regular programming, kid-friendly top flight professional jazz musicians will take the stage of the museum’s Playhouse each weekend in May. Please Touch Museum is commiteed to fostering the future generations of cultura patrons by creating fun, informative and interactive music programs for young children and introducing them to jazz music, with its deep Philadelphia roots, is just another way we fulfill that commitment. The Junior Jazz Festival feature musicians who encourage audience interaction and engage children in creating ane experiencing jazz in new and exciting ways. Don’t be surprised if you end up in the band! Opening May 7th in the Please Touch Playhouse, Scat Cat’s Junior Jazz Jamboree Weekdays during the month, kids will learn (along with a little bit of jazz history) how to scat sing by taking in a Please Touch Playhouse performance of Scat Cat’s Junior Jazz Jamboree.
