| Description | Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse opened its doors to the public on July 23, 1899. This summer, Smith celebrates 113 years of providing children 10 and younger and their families in Philadelphia with important opportunities to play with a free event on Saturday, July 21st, 10:00am – 12:30pm. Smith’s 113th Birthday Party will feature a visit from the Phillie Phanatic, the Eagles Book Mobile, story time with the Eagles Story Book Man, pop-up demos from Soccer Shots Philadelphia, birthday cake, rides down Smith’s famous Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide, and fun on the expansive 6 ½ acre Playground. |
