Hall-Mercer Child & Parent Center
Past winner of the Philadelphia Magazine “Best of Philly” Award for Baby Classes! They offer discussion groups for parents of newborns and playgroups for parents with crawling babies, cruisers, toddlers, and two-year-olds. In our discussion groups, parents bring their babies to meet other new families, share experiences, and learn about baby care and infant development. In our playgroups, parents and children enjoy socializing, music, stories, games, and snacks in an indoor playspace and outdoor playground. Toddlers participate in cooking projects, art projects, and circle time with musical instruments, books, and songs. Playgroups also provide time for parents to meet other parents, share experiences, and discuss child development topics. All groups are led by child development professionals. Special groups are offered for second-time parents with a younger baby, mothers returning to work, children getting ready for preschool, and parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with developmental delays and differences. Drop-in groups are offered in winter months for families looking for an indoor place to gather and socialize informally with other families. Please call for pricing since costs vary per program.
