Welcome to our website (this "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Global Parent Circle, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "GPC", "we" or "us") and includes a variety of features and services ("Services"). If you ("User" or "you") continue to browse and use this Site or join as a member ("Member"), you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions of use.

We do not perform criminal history or reference checks on Members, childcare providers, companies or other third parties who are listed, advertise or respond to posts through this Site. Third parties listed on this Site are not interviewed by the staff of this Site nor are they guaranteed in any way. Be sure to ask for and check references and criminal histories before engaging in services. When meeting other Users for the first time, a well-populated, public venue is usually a smart option. It's always a good idea to have your mobile phone with you, and to let others know where you'll be. You agree to make reasonable precautions in all interactions with other members of this site, particularly if you decide to meet offline or in person.

The advice provided by this Site is intended as a guide for parents and should not be substituted for independent legal, professional counsel or medical advice.

Your use of any information or materials on this Site is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this Site meet your specific requirements.

Discussion Boards/Conduct of Members

Considering the real time nature of this Site's boards, it is impossible for GPC to review all messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that GPC does not actively monitor the contents of all posted messages. GPC is not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of GPC or any entity associated with this discussion board.

As a User you remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and behavior, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GPC and its agents with respect to any claim based upon messages. Please be cautious in posting information of a personal nature or anything that might create legal concerns for you or others.

We do not in any way screen Members, nor do we inquire into the backgrounds of Members or attempt to verify the statements of Members. We make no representations or warranties as to the conduct of our Members.

You are solely responsible for the content, messages, photos or profiles (collectively, "Content") that you publish or display (hereinafter, "post") on this Site, or transmit to other Members. You will not post on this Site, or transmit to other Members, any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, offensive, sexually oriented, threatening, harassing, racially offensive, or illegal material, or any material that infringes or violates another party's rights (including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights, and rights of privacy and publicity). You will not provide inaccurate, misleading or false information to GPC or to any other Member. (See our Discussion Board Guidelines for more information).

You understand and agree that we may review and delete any Content, in each case in whole or in part, that in the sole judgment of GPC violates these terms and conditions of use or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of Members.

  We do not allow members to advertise businesses on the discussion board. Users affiliated with a business or property being discussed must identify themselves as such. If you own a company and someone is asking about it, please do feel free to comment.  Just disclose who you are in the spirit of transparency and genuine response.  If we notice a post or review submitted by a person soliciting for business we will send the account holder a warning and delete the post. After the second instance we will inactivate the account without refunding a membership fee. 

By posting Content to any public area of this Site, you further represent and warrant that public posting and use of your content by GPC will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

The following is a partial list of the kind of Content or conduct that is prohibited or illegal and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action in our sole discretion against anyone who violates this provision, including without limitation, removing the offending communication from the Services and terminating the membership of such violators.

Content. You may not post Content that:

  • is offensive to the online community, such as Content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
  • harasses or advocates harassment of another person;
  • promotes information that you know is false, misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libelous; and/or
  • promotes an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted work, such as providing pirated computer programs or links to them, providing information to circumvent manufacture-installed copy-protect devices, or providing pirated images, audio or video, or links to pirated images, audio or video files.

Conduct. The following is a partial list of the type of actions that you may not engage in:

  • You will treat members in a kind and considerate manner. This site is all about supporting fellow parents and
  • You will not "stalk", "flame" or otherwise harass any person.
  • You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior consent of the owner of any such proprietary rights.
  • You will not interfere with or disrupt the Services or the site or the servers or networks connected to the Services or the site.
  • You will not post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

This Site may contain links to third-party sites which are not under the control of the GPC and we are not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site, or any changes or updates to such sites. This Site is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply that we endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content on such third-party site. You further acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of, or reliance upon, any such Content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

Disclaimer

This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury caused by any error, omission, deletion, defect, interruption, failure of performance, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of record, whether for breach of contract, negligence, tortious behavior, or under any other cause of action.

GPC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, GENERAL, SPECIAL, COMPENSATORY, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, THAT MAY ARISE FROM ANY USE OF, INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE AND/OR THE MATERIALS CONTAINED ON THIS SITE WHETHER THE MATERIALS CONTAINED ON THIS SITE ARE PROVIDED BY GPC OR A THIRD PARTY. Termination of Membership

If we terminate your membership because you have breached these terms and conditions, you will not be entitled to any refund of unused subscription fees. All decisions regarding the termination of accounts shall be made in the sole discretion of GPC. We are not required to provide you notice prior to terminating your membership and/or subscription or the reason for the termination of your account. Even after your membership or subscription is terminated, these terms and conditions will remain in effect.

MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password that you designate during the registration process, and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your username and password. You agree to (a) immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your username or password or any other breach of security, (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session, and (c) ensure that no-one under the age of 13 posts anything to the site (it's the law). GPC will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold GPC its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, and other partners and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorney's fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service in violation of this Agreement and/or arising from a breach of this Agreement and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth above.

Intellectual Property Rights

The contents of the Site such as text, graphics, images, logos, button icons, software and other content (collectively, "GPC Content"), unless otherwise indicated, are protected by law including, but not limited to, United States copyright, trade secret, and trademark law, as well as other state, national, and international laws and regulations. All GPC Content is the property of GPC or its content suppliers or clients. Except as expressly provided herein, GPC does not grant any express or implied right to you. GPC also owns a copyright in the Site as a collective work and/or compilation, and in the selection, coordination, arrangement, and enhancement of this Site's content. The Global Parent Circle name, and all other names, logos, and icons identifying GPC products and services are proprietary marks of GPC. Other product and company names mentioned herein might be the trademarks of their respective owners. You agree not to sell or modify the GPC Content or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the GPC Content in any way for any public or commercial purpose, in connection with products or services that are not those of the Sites, in any other manner that is likely to cause confusion among consumers, that disparages or discredits GPC or its licensors, that dilutes the strength of GPC's or its licensor's property, or that otherwise infringes GPC's or its licensor's intellectual property rights. You further agree to in no other way misuse GPC Content that appears on this Site. Submissions

Any ideas, suggestions, information, know-how, material, or any other Content received from you through this Site will be deemed to include a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license for GPC to adopt, publish, reproduce, disseminate, transmit, distribute, copy, use, create derivative works, display, (in whole or part) worldwide, or act on such Content without additional approval or consideration, in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.
